Police hunt trio who allegedly hurled bricks from Melbourne overpass, leaving woman injured and cars damaged

Police are looking for three young people who allegedly threw bricks from an overpass, injuring a woman and damaging several vehicles.
Detectives were told the teenagers were seen throwing bricks from the Princes Hwy overpass at Springvale, south-east of Melbourne, shortly before 1am on Saturday morning.
Bricks allegedly fell on the windshields of two cars and three other cars were damaged.
A police spokesman said a woman in the vehicle (a woman) needed help from paramedics to remove glass shards from her eyes.
Police also allege that debris from the bricks caused the tires of several vehicles to burst.
Detective Senior Constable Simon Jacobs said throwing bricks from an overpass was not a harmless act.
“This incident clearly demonstrates that such actions can lead to serious and fatal consequences,” he said.

“The outcome could have been much worse, we are extremely lucky that only one person suffered minor injuries.
“I strongly urge those responsible to come forward, take responsibility for their actions and show some compassion to the injured person.”
No arrests have been made at this stage and detectives are appealing for anyone with information or vision to contact Crime Stoppers.
