Donald Trump said he “doesn’t need international law” and that his power is limited only by “his own morality.”

“Ownership is very important,” Trump said, adding: “Because I think it’s psychologically necessary for success. I think ownership gives you something you can’t do, you’re talking about a lease or an agreement. Ownership gives you things and elements that you can’t get by just signing a document.”
Trump also dismissed concerns that his decision to remove Nicolás Maduro as Venezuela’s president would set a precedent for a Chinese takeover of Taiwan or a Russian attempt to control Ukraine.
