Post-Production Woes and OTT Deal Delay Akhanda 2 Release

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s upcoming film Akhanda 2 is one of the most anticipated films of the year. The film was officially postponed from Dasara, especially for visual effects and background score and post -production work. The first part of Akhanda performed well in theaters and OTT platforms such as Jio Hotstar.

Akhanda 2’s producers postponed the film because they did not make a fancy agreement with the leading OTT platform. After completing an OTT agreement, they plan to announce the release date. This points to the fourth cooperation between Balakrishna and painting, so expectations are incredibly high. Producers also spent a generous amount in production.

It is estimated that the new release date of the film will fall in December. It must either be the first week of December or a Christmas-new year window. If the producers wanted to try their chances in the Hindi market, December would be more ideal than Sankranthi 2026, and trade experts would be more ideal than Opine.
