Premise of This ‘Savage Action Thriller’ Is No Longer a Secret

The idea behind Yash’s Toxic is no longer a secret. With weeks to go before its theatrical release, we now know that the film is set in Goa between the early 1940s and the 1970s. Director Geetu Mohandas turned it into a “wild action-thriller epic”.

The plot initially “plunges into the decay beneath heaven”. After this, Yash’s strong and fierce character comes into play. The script reads: “In this coastal nation where colonial shadows fade and criminal organizations proliferate, one man builds his empire through blood, fear, and betrayal. Power is not given, it is seized, and always requires payback. As smuggling routes become battlegrounds and loyalties turn to suspicion, paranoia becomes a tool of survival. In the end, the only force more powerful than the consequences of his choices is the abyss within.”

It is jointly produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations.

On March 19 this year, Toxic will clash with Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2 at the box office.
