Prince William, Kate Middleton Win Case Against Magazine

LONDON (AP) — Prince and Princess of Wales The royal office said on Thursday it had won a lawsuit against a French magazine that published photos of the couple and their children on a ski holiday.
William And Kate Action was taken against Paris Match after they published photos of themselves and their children George, Charlotte and Louis on holiday in the French Alps in April. They were shown on the slopes and rested on the balcony of a chalet.
The latest edition of Paris Match includes a notice stating that a judge at the Judicial Court of Nanterre found that the images and the accompanying article “violated the respect for their privacy and the rights of the Prince and Princess of Wales and their children to their own image.”
The couple’s Kensington Palace office said the magazine published “a highly intrusive article and long-lens paparazzi photographs of private family holidays.”
“The Prince and Princess of Wales are committed to protecting their family’s private time and ensuring that their children can grow up without unnecessary scrutiny and interference,” the palace said in a statement. The statement was included. “They will not hesitate to take the necessary steps to enforce these limits.”
British media have largely complied with the agreement to grant privacy to George, 12, Charlotte, 10, and Louis, 7, in exchange for occasional permitted images. A similar arrangement applied to William and his brother Prince Harry when they were younger.
International outlets have sometimes followed other rules.
William and Kate A lawsuit was filed against the French magazine Closer Back in 2012, Kate posted topless photos of herself while the couple were on holiday at a private villa in the South of France.
