According to a royal writer, Prince William requested that Meghan Markle not wear any of Princess Diana’s jewelry on her wedding day. A royal book reports how the groom’s older brother, Prince William, had concerns about Prince Harry’s relationship with the former Suits actor.

Royal author Robert Jobson wrote in his 2024 biography: Catherine, Princess of Wales: Biography of the Future Queen: “I was told this, I’m still worried [romantic] “When matched, he had sought assurances from the Queen that Harry’s bride would not wear any of Princess Diana’s jewellery, although his own wife was allowed to do so.”
