Princess Kate shares sweet photos of her hugging husband William and their kids Princess Charlotte, and Princes George and Louis after she completed the Three Peaks Challenge in 24 hours
The Princess of Wales shared a sweet tribute to family and friends after completing the grueling Three Peaks Challenge to spread her deeply personal message about cancer.
In a touching post uploaded to Instagram, Catherine, 44, was seen wearing red shorts and a baseball cap while surrounded by her closest people.
He captioned the footage: ‘This time last week we were completing the National Three Peaks Challenge. A huge thank you to everyone who supports the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.’
All three of his children came out to show their support; Charlotte, George and Louis each wore their own practical blue outfits jeans while smiling at the camera.
In a touching image, Kate could be seen warmly embracing her daughter as she moved closer to her, as the Princess rested her cheek on Charlotte’s head.
In another, Charlotte reached for her mother’s hand; Meanwhile, the royal family’s youngest child, Louis, could be seen playing with a dog in the background.
Kate’s hair was pulled back into a sleek ponytail and she was wearing a pair of sturdy brown hiking boots with thick red socks that matched the color of her shorts.
The Princess did the challenge alone and was supported on the route by Mountain Rescue; his family met him at the final stop at Snowdon base in Wales.

It has a total walking distance of 23 miles (37 kilometers), a vertical climbing elevation of 10.05 ft, and a driving distance between peaks of approximately 462 miles.
The Princess was taken between the peaks (Scotland, then England and finally Wales) by her team. No other member of the Royal Family is believed to have completed the Challenge of the Three Peaks, making the princess’ victory a royal first.
In her personally written message, Kate said: ‘Every year, hundreds of thousands of people in this country hear words no one wants to hear. What follows is a path that tests every part of who we are: physically, emotionally, psychologically and spiritually. Difficulties are rippling outward; It touches on families, friendships, work and the quiet moments we spend alone with our thoughts.
‘Cancer doesn’t just affect the body. It changes how you think and feel and profoundly affects every aspect of life. I know this personally and know that the journey through and after treatment requires more than just medication.
‘I joined the National Three Peaks Challenge not just as a physical challenge, but as a chance to explore life beyond diagnosis and give something back.’
In the Three Peaks Challenge, participants attempt to climb the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales in 24 hours: Ben Nevis, the highest peak in Scotland and the UK, at 4,413ft; Scarfell Pike, England’s highest peak, stands at 3,209 ft, and Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa), Wales’ highest peak, stands at 3,560 ft.
In a video shot before the start of the competition, the princess explained why she took on the challenge, saying it was ‘partly personal’, adding: ‘I’m so grateful to be here, to be strong enough to walk these hills.’
And he added: ‘But more importantly it’s about giving something back and really acknowledging all the incredible work that’s being done in this country.
‘I’ve met some incredible people, people living with and with cancer, and I know personally how difficult the journey is.
‘I wanted to use this opportunity as a way of contributing to all the wonderful work that goes on, and in particular to support the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, which is so dear to my heart but does outstanding work to support those living with and beyond the disease.’
The princess also wants to use the challenge to raise funds. Royal Marsden Cancer Aidis launching a fundraising page specifically designed for people across the country to donate.
Funds raised for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity will support more cancer patients to benefit from holistic care.
