Queen in tears during major milestone for beloved family member | Royal | News

Queen Maxima of the Netherlands became emotional as she witnessed an important milestone in her daughter’s life last week. Her 22-year-old daughter, Princess Catharina-Amalia, has completed her military training and they both attended a ceremony at the Dutch Ministry of Defense in Ermelo last Friday.

The Dutch heiress, also known as the Princess of Orange, now holds the rank of corporal. Maxima mingled with the other parents wearing a cool gray jacket paired with an oversized scarf and black leather gloves.

He was photographed hugging his daughter, who proudly wore her uniform.

The Dutch royal family said in a statement on Instagram: “The Orange Princess has completed General Military Training (AMO) and has been promoted to corporal.

“AMO is part of the training he followed at the Defense College.”

The palace announced that Catharina-Amalia will now wear a military uniform while serving in the Ministry of Defense.

Catharina-Amalia has come back strong after being injured in a horse accident last year.

Varis broke his arm last summer and had surgery.

He was treated at the Utrecht University Medical Center hospital.

At the time, Maxima left her engagement with the MIND Us Foundation at Noordeinde Palace in The Hague immediately after hearing about the incident.

The Princess of Orange is the eldest of the three daughters of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima.

The Dutch royal family states on its website that royal pastimes include horse riding, tennis and singing.

On his 18th birthday he automatically became a member of the Council of State and Advisory Chamber.
