Raghu Vamsi Aerospace Group on Monday officially launched its ₹100-crore DeepTech design, manufacturing and integration facility at Hardware Park near Hyderabad international airport.

Six indigenous UAVs and autonomous defense products under a new subsidiary and brand called Arrobot were unveiled by the Group in the presence of Vice Admiral Sanjay Vatsayan, Deputy Chief of Naval Staff; Bharat Dynamics CMD Commodore A. Madhavarao (retd.); Major General Shivendra Kumar, ADG–EME, Indian Army; G. Satheesh Reddy, former Scientific Advisor to the Minister of Defense and former Chairman of DRDO, and others. The group has also signed four MoUs, including one with the Indian Army’s 515 Army Base Workshop for joint design, development, testing and validation of advanced drone platforms and related systems. Others were MoUs with Bharat Dynamics for joint development and supply of fully indigenous 200 kgf thrust class engines to power next-generation autonomous fighter platforms; with IIIT Hyderabad for joint development of advanced AI-based autonomy, smart perception, swarm intelligence and mission systems to accelerate smart UAV development for defense applications; and we are working with ARCI to collaboratively develop laser cladding, additive manufacturing and thermal barrier coating applications in the development of new aircraft engine technologies.

Located close to a ₹300 million facility the Group announced last year, among other Raghu Vamsis, the new 25,000 sq ft facility will house design-to-assembly production for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), engines and advanced defense systems unit.

Raghu Vamsi Aerospace Group said the new facility strengthens India’s ability to support its strategic programs and global customers with faster turnaround times and scalable production. The Group, which has 10 production facilities and over 1,000 employees in three countries, expects the production facility worth Rs 300 crore to be ready by 2026. It will consist of three buildings with a total area of 2.5 lakh sq ft in eight acres and is estimated to create employment for more than 2,000 people in three years.

Founder and MD Vamsi Vikas said the Group’s order book for the next three years is around ₹ 1,500 crore and considering the increasing demand for products, a new and larger manufacturing facility cannot be ruled out. The group’s revenues are expected to cross ₹500 crore this year.
