Sudden rain, hailstorm bring relief from heat in Hyderabad

Hyderabad witnessed sudden moderate rains accompanied by hailstorms and strong winds on Sunday evening (April 19), catching residents and commuters off guard in various parts of the city. The showers also brought much-needed relief to residents after a week of extreme maximum temperatures.

After 16:00 the weather changed suddenly; Clear skies gave way to heavy cloud cover, followed by thunder and gusty winds. Unexpected downpour caused many travelers to seek shelter. Drivers were seen standing under bus stops and subway stations to protect themselves from rain and hail.
