Rio Ngumoha: Will Arne Slot play Liverpool teenager against PSG?

Ngumoha was Liverpool’s biggest threat against Fulham; He produced a superb curling opener with flair and precision after 36 minutes and played a part four minutes later as Mohamed Salah showed some of the old magic remnants with similar accuracy and technique to seal a victory that secured the Slot’s place in the Champions League.
The player, who is a constant threat on Liverpool’s left wing, received a well-deserved standing ovation when he entered the game in the 69th minute.
Was it to preserve their energy on Tuesday? Or was it because Slot thought Ngumoha had done enough?
Former Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp told Sky Sports: “Rio gives you a great option on the bench for the PSG game, but who knows?
“I wouldn’t be surprised if they started him, but if I’m trying to pick Liverpool’s best team at the moment, I like the midfield they’re finishing the game with.
“The midfield that won Liverpool the league last year was Ryan Gravenberch, Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai and I also think it could be a game where Hugo Ekiike starts ninth, you might need Florian Wirtz on the left and Mohamed Salah on the right.
“It feels like there’s a nice twist to it. Having Alexander Isak come off the bench if you need it and then Rio gives you a little bit of the ‘X-Factor.’
The odds are that Ngumoha probably won’t start, but most observers (including this one) suggest he contributes more than the subdued Gakpo.
Only Wayne Rooney, aged 17 years and 51 days, and Cesc Fabregas, aged 17 years and 113 days, have started a match in the Premier League and scored at a younger age than Liverpool’s Ngumoha, aged 17 years and 225 days.
He is a guaranteed star of the future. Will Slot be bold enough to make him the star of Liverpool’s gift by playing him against PSG?
