Rishab Shetty in Kantara Episode One

Rishab Shetty has once again made India proud with his latest blockbuster Kantara Part One. The prequel of Kantara (2022) has been released to universally positive reviews and the film is inches away from entering the Rs 500 billion mark worldwide. The main reason why Rishab won gold with Kantara: Episode 1 is because of his hard work and dedication. Kantara’s journey is not easy and Rishab gave an insight into the pain left behind while creating this masterpiece.

On Monday, Rishab shared a carousel post on Instagram and celebrated the success of his latest film by flaunting his swollen leg while shooting the climax scene of the film. Talking about shooting the very famous climax with an exhausted body, the Kannada actor wrote in his post, “This was during the climax shoot, a swollen leg, an exhausted body.. but today the climax has become something watched and admired by millions. This was possible only with the grace of the divine energy we believe in. Heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported us.”

In an earlier interview, Rishab revealed the drafts required to complete the script of Kantara: Part 1. In an interaction with IANS, he revealed that it took 15-16 drafts to get the final script of the prequel with every theme and narrative thread that the makers wanted to instill. Rishab said, “I think 15-16 drafts. Yes, almost 15-16 drafts. So I can say that these 15-16 drafts are narrative drafts.” he said.

He explained that they did not write many drafts in the first episode, they finished the writing in 3-4 months and started production. “We started discussing it when we made the prequel. We started with the story of Shiva’s father, we finished that script and the hardcover script was ready. But then we realized that the first part needed a back story and we thought, ‘Let’s back up a little bit, let’s keep it as a beginning, not keep it as a legend.'” Rishab asserted.
