S Club’s Rachel Stevens was once voted world’s sexiest woman… now she says she can’t get a date!

She was named the sexiest woman of all time by FHM magazine and built a legion of male fans who fell in love with her during pop’s heyday.
But 25 years later and Rachel Stevens, now 48, has revealed she is no longer chatted with or asked on dates.
The former S Club 7 singer, who is currently single after splitting from ex-boyfriend Brendyn Hatfield, whom she met on skating show Dancing On Ice in 2022, also admitted she may have to turn to dating apps to find love again.
In an exclusive interview with The Mail on Sunday, Ms Stevens said: ‘No! I don’t chat at all. I get people coming up to me very occasionally, some people will come up and say hello which is nice but other than that I just go about my day.
‘I’ve never been on a dating app but I’m really open to it, I love meeting people and you should follow your heart.’
Ms. Stevens rose to fame in the late ’90s when she was chosen by music enthusiast Simon Fuller to perform in S Club 7. While the group had seven members, Ms. Stevens was the standout star, gaining millions of male fans of almost all ages.
She has also become a favorite of the tabloid press with her relationships with people who command many columns, such as Holby City’s handsome Jeremy Edwards and Gavin Dein, son of former Arsenal vice-chairman David Dein.
At a time when men’s magazines were popular, Ms. Stevens was the most sought-after pin-up, and rather than being embarrassed by her racy photos, she looks back fondly on her cover girl days. She says she will live forever with the title of sexiest woman of all time.

The S Club singer was once voted the sexiest woman in the world. Here he received the Sexiest Briton award in 2003.
‘It was great fun,’ Ms Stevens said. ‘I loved it, but it belonged to that time, that moment, the ’90s and 2000s. I mean, life has done a 360 now. It was really fun and I will live with it forever. ‘It’s a great title to have, it was very, very flattering and beautiful.’
Ms. Stevens, who has two daughters, 15-year-old Amelie and 12-year-old Minnie, from her marriage to real estate agent Alex Bourne, which ended in 2022 after 13 years, says her mother still keeps them.
‘My mom has a lot of stuff at home, everything for her, my book is on the table, it’s so cute, like all my magazines and stuff. I kept it all aside.
‘Some of the things I’ve taken out… I should, right? I have to remove them. I could hang a huge one on my wall! ‘It’s nice to celebrate everything we do.’
Miss Stevens, who will be announced as the ambassador of Vitabiotics Perfectil’s ‘Back to Basics’ campaign, is about to join S Club for their second reunion in three years. Their return meant their children could see her perform.
‘It’s so beautiful, it’s really special to be able to do the last show we do and for them to be a part of it and see it.’
As Ms. Stevens approaches 50, she feels good about the future and happily celebrates each year of growing older.
‘We are constantly experiencing shaking,’ he says. ‘We are all human. We all have our wobbles, men, women, all of us, and it’s perfectly natural in life because it kind of guides and guides us.

Why do you think some celebrities have a hard time finding love despite their fame and past popularity?
‘I think getting older is such a privilege and I celebrate it every year and one of my main focuses now is to be truly present and mindful of how I live my life. So creating really good routines, wellness routines, taking care of myself, having fun, doing things that you love and that you’re passionate about and creating a life that you love and you love it at any age, right?
‘And it also embraces those wobbles, because I think sometimes we can be quite rude to ourselves and beat ourselves up for not being in a good mood, but actually our emotions are there for a reason, they’re showing us things.
‘So I’m trying to be more in touch with how I feel and embrace every part of myself.’
This week Rachel will be announced as the ambassador for Vitabiotics Perfectil’s ‘Back to Basics’ campaign.
She said: ‘Being an ambassador for this campaign has been a really great collaboration because it’s all about simplifying your routine. There’s a lot of noise in the market, right? In the world of beauty and wellness.
‘We’re also so busy running about a million miles an hour that this campaign is about taking things back to basics and confidence, because using a trusted, science-led brand like Perfectil just simplifies your routine and uses it as part of a holistic approach to your health that I love so much.’
