Saudi Arabia Calls to ‘De-Escalate’ as US-Iran Ceasefire on Brink

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia called on Tuesday to deescalate conflict in the Middle East after Iran and the United States exchanged fire, breaking a fragile ceasefire.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses the concern of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia regarding the current military tension in the region and calls for the need to de-escalate tensions,” the foreign ministry said in a statement published on X. he said.

The ministry said it supports “diplomatic efforts to reach a political solution” in the war.
