SC collegium recommends names of two women advocates as judges of Kerala HC

The New Delhi High Court bench on Tuesday recommended the names of two women lawyers for appointment as judges of the Kerala High Court.

The bench, headed by Chief Justice Surya Kant, approved the names of Preeta Aravindan Krishnamma and Liz Mathew Anthraper in a meeting.

The bench also approved the proposal to appoint three judicial officers as judges of the Karnataka High Court.

The names of these judicial officers are Rajeshwari Narayana Hegde, Kedambadi Ganesh Shanthi and Mahadevappa Brungesh.

In another decision, the bench approved the appointment of four additional judges as permanent judges of the Telangana High Court.


They are judging Yara Renuka, Nandikonda Narsing Rao, E Tirumala Devi and BR Madhusudhan Rao.
The bench also approved the recommendation for appointment of additional judge, Justice Manjusha Ajay Deshpande, as permanent judge of the Bombay High Court.
