A York City star appeared to attack an opposing fan who entered the pitch during the National League title decider against Rochdale.

Footage shared on social media showed an unpleasant clash on the field, in which York midfielder Hiram Boateng was pushed to the ground by a Rochdale fan.
The matchday official appeared to intervene and allow Boateng to get back to his feet.

Boateng remained on the field as the match restarted and fans returned to the stands after a six-minute delay.
