Suspect caught on camera allegedly threatening Ohio dad ‘in the name of Allah’

Surveillance video captured a horrific and apparent late-night act of random violence in Ohio in which a knife-wielding man told his homeowner he planned to kill him “in the name of God.”
The harrowing encounter, which unfolded early Easter Sunday morning in Warren County, began when the suspect appeared praying in the family’s driveway before approaching the home several times, causing the panicked father to eventually run outside.
Authorities later identified the suspect as 23-year-old Anthony Long, who was arrested and charged shortly after the incident. reported.
The family’s mother, Tiffany Miller, shared the terrifying ordeal on social media on Monday, describing it as an “extremely scary and dangerous situation” that could turn fatal.

The incident began when the suspect pulled into the family’s driveway with his headlights off, Miller said.
Home security cameras show the man kneeling in the driveway and praying before approaching the house.
Miller said Long first knocked on the front door but did not get any response because the family was asleep.
He returned minutes later and banged on the door even louder in a second, more aggressive attempt.
Miller said the family woke up expecting their daughter to return home, but were shocked to see a stranger at their door in the middle of the night.

“I woke up and walked away thinking my daughter was locked outside and no, it wasn’t her,” she said. “It was a man I didn’t know. We didn’t answer and he went back to his car.”
When one of the family’s daughters finally arrived home, the man reportedly remained in his parked car, prompting Miller’s husband to get out and confront the suspect.
“Hey buddy, are you knocking on the door?” dad Andy was heard asking.
The suspect immediately replied, “I will kill you in the name of God.”
The panicked father then began to back away while yelling at his daughter to get away.
The suspect then pulled a knife on Andy, tried to approach the house again and eventually went after his daughter, who fled the scene, Miller said.

“The man immediately exited his vehicle, began making explicit threats to kill her, repeatedly used religious language and approached her in an aggressive manner,” Miller said.
According to the family’s statement, no one was injured in the incident.
“This was a horrific encounter and we are grateful that no one was harmed last night,” Miller said.

Long was booked into the Warren County Jail, according to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.

Long faces four charges, including aggravated menacing, trespassing and criminal damage, all classified as misdemeanors of varying degrees.
He also faces bail totaling more than $75,000, most of which must be paid in cash.
