600 Artistes Enthral Kakinada at Thyagaraja Music Concert

Kakinada: As many as 600 classical singers and artistes from the two Telugu States enthralled the audience in Kakinada with a grand musical concert held at Ananda Bharati Grounds on Sunday.
The event was organized by the Saraswati Gana Sabha in Kakinada as part of its 122nd anniversary celebrations and marked the 178th death anniversary of the saintly composer Thyagaraja. The concert named Thyagaraja Pancha Ratna Seva was held with the participation of famous classical music masters and hundreds of music lovers.
The entire venue resonated with devotion and spirituality as the artistes performed Thyagaraja’s compositions, drawing repeated applause and cheers from the audience. The cool evening breeze contributed to the pleasant ambiance, turning the program into an unforgettable musical feast.
Addressing the gathering, distinguished spiritual speaker Chaganti Koteswara Rao said that devotion is deeply reflected in Thyagaraja Swamy’s compositions. Although Thyagaraja created thousands of kritis, only around 700 exist today, he said, describing them as a blessing for the society. He appreciated Saraswati Gana Sabha for organizing such a spiritually uplifting event.
Kakinada MLA Vanamadi Venkateswara Rao, classical singer Peddada Surya Kumari, Dr Mullapudi Nageswara Rao, Kommireddy Srirama Narasinga Rao, L. Satyanarayan (Tikku), former director of medical education Dr IV Rao and others were present.
