World Grand Slam Darts 2025 results: Luke Littler demolishes Luke Humphries to win title

World champion Luke Littler won his first World Grand Prix title with a clinical 6-1 defeat of world number one Luke Humphries.

Littler, 18, was eliminated in the first round of the ‘double-in and double-out’ tournament for the first time last year, but has been more impressive throughout this campaign.

His average was lower than Humphries’ in the final but he was ruthless throughout and won five of six sets in the deciders in the final leg to claim the £120,000 prize money.

This gives Littler his seventh televised PDC major title – the joint seventh highest title in history.

He closed the gap between himself and leader Humphries to just over £70,000 at the top of the PDC’s order of merit in two battles to reach December’s World Championships as world number one.

“I’m very happy to tick it off, it’s not the easiest tournament to win,” Littler told Sky Sports. “It’s something I can mark and there aren’t many left.”

On his challenge to become world number one, Littler said: “It’s definitely not a big deal [a difference in] prize money, especially with what we’re playing for. “Luke will know now that I’m behind him, I’m after him.”

Humphries said he had to “go all in” to race Littler.

“I have to be better, I have to work harder,” he said. “If I don’t do this, he will run away from everything. I need to dedicate everything to being a darts player and work harder than ever. I want to match him.”
