16 Naren 4-Lorry Driver Died In Firing On NH-44 In Nizamabad

NIZAMABAD: The incident of firing on the National Highway (NH-44) caused panic. Miscreants opened fire on a person within the limits of Indalwai Police Station. One person died in the incident.

On Tuesday evening, near a dhaba near Devitanda in Indalwai Mandal in Nizamabad district, a truck driver named Salman, 35, belonging to Uttar Pradesh, had parked his truck. Meanwhile, two people getting into another truck stopped there. They then opened fire on him with a gun. Salman was reported to have died while being taken to the Government Hospital in Nizamabad.

After the gunfight, the attackers abandoned the truck near Chandrayanpally and fled. The police started an operation to catch the suspect. Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, Nizamabad deputy commissioner of police L.Raja Venkat Reddy said that the accused and the deceased belong to Uttar Pradesh. He said the attack may have been motivated by competition.

Police Commissioner P.Sai Chaitanya said that truck driver Salman died due to a head injury. Doctors determined that head trauma from a stick could cause death. He said that the shooting or stick attack would become clear after the autopsy.
