C.P. Santhosh Kumar re-elected CPI Kannur district secretary

CP Santhosh Kumar was re -elected as the Indian Communist Party (CPI) Kannur Regional Secretary at the Regional Conference on Sunday. A 39 -member Regional Council was also elected. Senior party leaders Panniyan Ravendran, Sathyan Moke, KP Rajendran, Minister of Food and Civil Services Gr Anil and Deputy P. Santhosh were among those who spoke at the conference.

The conference called on the State Health Department to bring uniform treatment charges in private hospitals through a comprehensive study and legislation and referring to widespread exploitation and irregular costs in the sector.

The conference marked wide inconsistencies in treatment costs for similar procedures in different private hospitals in the region. He claimed that patients, especially the victims of accidents and those who were critical, were collected after being accepted, and they were often slightly concerned about their financial situation.
