US Open 2025: Cameron Norrie loses again to Novak Djokovic as Serb great reaches last 16

Before the match, the British Norrie said that the seventh seed was “ready for everything” from the seventh seed Djokovic – including seeing that he struggled with fitness problems before he recovered his opponent’s level.
However, the world number 35 was still unable to drag Djokovic to difficult physical changes as he hoped.
Norrie threatened to cause shock when she made a separation at the beginning of the third set.
But Djokovic instantly returned – his opponent helped to hit a double mistake in Break Point – Before Norrie had a great deal of problems with a certain service game that did not have any problems.
Djokovic has been the oldest man who has reached the fourth round since Jimmy Connors, 38 years old in 1991.
Djokovic, “I’m still trying to find my groove. Today I have played the best I’ve ever had in the tournament.” He said.
He added on fitness: “You have some ups and downs, but you don’t make ants to explain too much to your competitors. As usual, I’m young and strong.”
