Israeli strike on Iranian jail killed dozens on people

An Iranian official said that Israel’s attack on the prison of the house in Iran’s capital Tehran, including staff, prisoners and neighbors, killed 71 people.

At the end of an air war with Iran, Israel showed that on June 23, Tehran’s most famous prison for political prisoners has expanded its goals to target the symbols of Iran’s power system beyond military and nuclear areas.

Judicial spokesman Asghar Jahangir, “Evin Prison attack 71 people administrative staff, military service young people, visiting them family members of the detainees, family members visiting them and neighbors living around the prison,” he said.

Jahangir had previously said that some of the administrative building of the house prison was damaged in the attack and that people were killed and injured.

The judiciary added that the remaining prisoners were transferred to other prisons in Tehran province.

The prison of the house has a series of foreign nationals, including two French citizens detained for three years.

French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot said to the social media after the attack, “The strike aiming at the prison of the house in Tehran, our citizens, Cecile Kohler and Jacques Paris endangered. This is unacceptable.”
