Man allegedly robbed at knifepoint by people found through dating app in Ernakulam

A 33-year-old man was allegedly robbed at knifepoint at his home in Thathappally in Kottuvally near North Paravur by two men he befriended through a dating app.

North Paravur police have launched an investigation into the incident that took place on Saturday night.

A case was registered under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita Sections 332(c) (home invasion), 351 (criminal threat), 115(2) (voluntarily causing harm), 308 (extortion) and 3(5) (joint criminal liability).
