Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar on Tuesday offered his heartfelt condolences to the people of India following the deadly blast near Delhi’s iconic Red Fort that killed at least eight people and injured many more.

Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake said, “I am saddened by the news of the explosion that occurred last evening in Delhi. Sri Lanka stands in solidarity with the people of India. Our thoughts are with everyone affected.”

Israeli Ambassador to India Reuven Azar also described the incident as “heartbreaking” and praised the quick response of emergency teams. In X, he said, “Heartbreaking scenes after the car explosion in Delhi, which resulted in many dead and injured. We express our deepest condolences to the families of the victims. We wish a speedy recovery to the survivors. Praise be to the rescue teams and security forces.”

Foreign missions, including Canada and the United States, also expressed condolences and made safety recommendations in response to the explosion.

The US Embassy, ​​in its advisory notice, stated: “On November 10, 2025, a car exploded near the Lal Quila (Red Fort) metro station in central Delhi and multiple casualties were reported in the local media. The Government of India has put many states of India on high alert.”

The explosion, which hit one of Delhi’s busiest historical areas, sparked a nationwide security alert as investigators tried to identify those responsible and determine whether the incident was a targeted act of terrorism.
