China Caixin PMI factory activity unexpectedly expands in June

China’s factory activity returned to unexpected growth among export -oriented manufacturers in June, and a special survey showed that the country shook the winds caused by trade cuts on Tuesday.
Caixin/S&P Global Production Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) arrived at 50.4, Reuters’ median estimation 49.0, and in May 48.3 backfire, which has shown the worst narrowing since September 2022.

So far, since exporters returned to alternative markets, especially to Southeast Asian countries and European Union countries, the country’s outgoing shipments have continued relatively strongly in the last two months.
Exports to the United States fell by 34.5% in May one year ago and over 21% in April.
However, Morgan Stanley economists pointed out to soften the export momentum to the US and other destinations when the front loading activity has started to decrease in recent weeks.
