‘Trump Attacking Me Because…’: Zohran Mamdani Hits Back At US Prez Over Deportation Threat | World News

New Delhi: Zohran Mamdani, a candidate for Indian Origin, who works for the Mayor of New York, responded sharply to US President Donald Trump’s threats of deportation. Mamdani accused Trump of fuel and resorted to personal attacks to get away from the failures of his administration’s failures to address the needs of the working class Americans.
Mamdani, a 33 -year -old Indian politician and democrat, rejected Trump’s threats on social media and published a video that promised to continue his campaign.
Mamdani said, “Whoever I am, where I came from, or how I spoke, or because of how I talk, because I want to get away from what I fought. I fight for working people,” Mamdani said.

Since the rise of Mamdani in the New York Mayor’s race, Trump has repeatedly targeted him with personal insults, calling him “communist” and “crazy, and made the wrong allegations about immigration status.
During his visit to a Florida Detention Center on July 1, Trump replied, “Well, we will have to arrest him”. “We will watch very carefully on behalf of the country,” he added.
Mamdani described the attacks, the opposition to silence the opposition and to remove the focus from the issues affecting daily Americans as a broader republican effort. In particular, Trump’s tax and expenditure legislation proposed as a “great beautiful bill için for an important vote in the Congress.
Mamdani, “he wants to focus on me, so we do not focus on an invoice that will remove health services from families and get food away from hunger,” he said. “We will not retreat. We will fight back.”
The candidate also accused Trump of deepening political and social divisions. “Instead of admitting how disappointing the working -class Americans not only in New York, but also in the country, he chooses to divide it.”
Despite Trump’s discourse, Mamdani is determined to protect the immigrant communities and to defend policies aiming to raise working people. Message: There will be no intimidation.
