Trump’s motorcade rerouted after ‘suspicious device’ discovered by Secret Service near Florida airport

President Donald Trump’s motorcade had to be rerouted on Sunday after Secret Service agents discovered a ‘suspicious device’.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt shared the news as the president was en route to Palm Beach International Airport.

‘A suspicious object was discovered by the USSS during further screening at PBI Airport,’ he said.

‘Further investigation was necessary and the route of the presidential motorcade was adjusted accordingly.’

The convoy then took an unusual route to Palm Beach airport, making a circular route around the city as police motorcycles raced alongside them.

The press vans were so close together that they nearly hit each other as they slowed to make a turn, and they braked hard to avoid the collision. Drivers of press vans were instructed to ‘hold tight’.

Air Force One was later seen on the opposite side of the airport from where it normally is, and the lights outside the plane were off when the convoy arrived.

The president is currently returning to the White House on Air Force One, telling reporters en route that Iran’s leaders are ‘beginning to cross’ the red line as demonstrations continue across the country.
