TTD assures support to SVIMS to aid underprivileged patients

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has assured that it will extend all possible support to the super specialty hospital of Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) to assist in its efforts to help poor patients in backward areas.
At the SVIMS 33rd anniversary celebrations held at Mahati auditorium on Thursday, TTD Joint Chief Executive Officer (Health and Education) A. Sharath reminded that TTD currently provides an annual grant of ₹130 crore to SVIMS.
He also stated that the temple foundation will make extra efforts if the hospital makes a concerted effort to reach out to poor patients with its state-of-the-art infrastructure and highly skilled manpower.
Mr. Sharath elaborated on the need to make preventive and medical services accessible to those in rural areas, besides utilizing ‘NTR Vaidya Seva’ to treat economically constrained patients.
Later, TTD trust board member G. Bhanuprakash Reddy, SVIMS management council member N. Sadasiva Rao, TUDA President C. Divakar Reddy and SVIMS Director and Vice-Chancellor Dr. He published the annual report for 2025 along with RV Kumar. Professor of medicine from the USA Dr. Subhashini Yaturi also spoke at the event.
