Vaiko to undertake padayatra against drug use and alcohol consumption

Vaiko, MDMK general secretary, Samathuva Nadai Payanam (padayatra) from 2 January 2026 to highlight brotherhood between communities and raise awareness against drug abuse and alcohol consumption. He said that he will start the program from Tiruchi and complete it in Madurai by covering 175 km.

“I will walk on the service grounds and meet people passing through places like Manapparai, Kodai Road and Vadipatti. A total of 100 party volunteers, 100 youth wing members and 100 student body members in party uniform will accompany me on my walk,” he said. Hindu on Saturday.
