Perrie Edwards finally gets her happy ever after as she prepares to marry Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain TODAY after heartbreak and ‘serious breakdowns’ caused by ex-fiancé Zayn Malik

Perrie Edwards is finally set to get her happy ending after years of turmoil.
The Little Mix singer, 32, is set to walk down the aisle after 10 years together and tell Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain I Do in front of her loved ones.
But the road to true love has been a rocky one for Perrie, who famously had her heart broken by Zayn Malik, who ended their engagement ‘via text’ in 2015.
Their relationship was rocky and marred by numerous rumors of Zayn’s infidelity, but when Zayn popped the question in 2013, Perrie believed she had found her match.
Zayn denied claims that Perrie dumped him via text and blamed her young age for the breakup, claiming she was 21 at the time and ‘didn’t know anything about anything’.
Perrie claimed there was an ‘overlap’ when she recently split from girlfriend Gigi Hadid, saying it left her feeling like: “Oh shit, they left me for someone prettier than me, better than me.”‘

But the road to true love has been a rocky one for Perrie, who famously had her heart broken by Zayn Malik, who ended their engagement ‘via text’ in 2015.
In the latest episode of Jamie Laing’s Great Company podcast, he described heartbreak as ‘the worst thing in the world’, adding: ‘You feel abandoned and you don’t feel good enough and you feel abandoned for something better or whatever it is.’
He explained that he fell into depression and had ‘serious breakdowns’ after the breakup.
To add insult to injury, Zayn later claimed he was ‘never in love’.
Still, it was clear that it was all about Perrie; She went on to find Alex on the celebrity dating app Raya and the pair hit it off instantly.
Five years later, the couple got engaged and welcomed their first child, son Axel, in 2021, followed by daughter Alanis in January this year.
This relationship also helped her heal from the traumatic ending to her romance with Zayn.
Speaking of the breakups, Perrie stated that she held no grudges and said: ‘…Nobody’s to blame in this situation so to speak, but when you’re young you think the idea of love is normal and it’s not.
‘And you don’t realize it until you step away from it and experience something different.’
He added this about Alex: ‘It’s security, it’s calm. It means being able to approach that person on every issue and knowing that he or she will support you. They always had your back.
‘This is a healthy love and I can’t explain it. It just feels nice.’
Now, after 10 years of prioritizing parenthood and their careers, it looks like it’s time for the couple to finally get married.
Of course, the guest list includes Perrie’s Little Mix bandmates Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall (pictured) on the big day, as well as some of Alex’s former Celtic team-mates.
An insider said: ‘Perrie has been planning her big day for a while and now she can’t wait for it to arrive.
‘It’s been ten years since she and Alex started dating and since then they’ve had amazing sons and daughters and they couldn’t be happier.
‘She flies with Alex to the Algarve with his family and closest friends. This is a very intimate celebration. “This is everything Perrie and Alex have ever wanted,” they told The Sun.

Last month, Perrie revealed she would finally walk down the aisle with Alex this year when she was asked about her plans.
In an interview with 1883 Magazine, she said: ‘I have so much going on in my life, both personal and professional – my wedding! ‘I tried on the dress the other day and was very pleased’.
