Snow is first expected to arrive in the early hours of Wednesday morning, March 25, with maps created by WXCharts using Metdesk data showing numerous large white and gray patches across the UK.

Snowfall can be expected in many areas; The heaviest snowfall will be seen in the Scottish Highlands.
Cities in the north, including Liverpool and Manchester, are also expected to experience snowstorms throughout the day.
Maps show that winter conditions will begin at midnight on Wednesday and snowfall is likely to continue until the evening.
Scotland is expected to be worst affected, with snow accumulations of two to five centimeters, including up to 10cm on the highest ground.
Showers are expected in the south later in the day, with showers also expected in Cambridgeshire and Essex.
Rain is expected to fall as well as whites on Wednesday, and many areas are likely to see sleet during the day. In addition to the snowfall, much of the country will need to brace itself for harsh conditions as temperatures take a dramatic U-turn and drop into minuses.

The Met Office has also predicted a sudden change in weather conditions this week, the Express reported.
Met Office deputy head of forecasting Steven Keates said: “Following a period of mild and bright weather, the UK will become increasingly unsettled over the coming days. A range of weather patterns will bring periods of rain, strong winds and much colder weather by midweek. Wednesday could be a major shock to the system.”
