What’s behind Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan’s ‘quiet uncoupling’. Insiders tell all to ALEX DOYLE

Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright have been inseparable since they married more than a decade ago.
The screen stars, known as ‘Mark and Michelle’, gave joint interviews, walked hand in hand on glitzy red carpets and even went into business together to launch sportswear brand Aytee7, leaving many to bill them as TV’s answer to Posh and Becks.
They documented their shared life via Instagram for their combined 9.3 million followers and welcomed their daughter Palma in March 2025.
But I can now reveal that the pair, who are both 39 and live in a £3.5million mansion near Epping in Essex, have quietly separated their business interests while tailoring their social media to their own personal brands, and are now barely featured on each other’s accounts.
Former The Only Way Is Essex star Mark has not been noticeably visible on his wife’s Instagram page (where she has 7.3 million followers) since January this year, when she shared family photos from a complimentary holiday to Abu Dhabi’s five-star Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island resort.
Joint family account ‘wrightyhome’, which the former Coronation Street actor has not been involved in since 2023, is now idle.
A source close to the couple told me: ‘Recently Mark and Michelle have quietly moved away from working together professionally, with many of their former joint ventures quietly falling by the wayside.
‘The last fitness clothing brand they closed was Aytee7. They appear in the family home accounts but they no longer update that either. They both work with M&S but they are not together and have refused to work together for years.’
The power couple launched their first official business venture together, Aytee7, in 2022. The premium sportswear brand was sold exclusively through online retailer Very and featured more than 40 items in its collection.
Michelle and Mark posed at the range for a campaign to boost sales, as did their supportive family members. They even made a joint appearance together for the brand at the Trafford Center in their hometown of Manchester in 2024.

Michelle went on to run her own swimwear brand, Orfila Bee, using her millions of fans to promote her products and attract other brand endorsements.
As the Daily Mail first revealed, the brand quietly folded in 2025, although their company MYSA Active continues to trade, according to Companies House.
Despite the end of their joint business, Michelle remained close to Very and has her own clothing store in her name, without Mark.
She also continues to run her own swimwear brand, Orfila Bee, which she founded in 2020 with her best friend and co-founder Rachael Antal. The company’s name celebrates its Gibraltar heritage, while Bee is a ‘heartfelt nod’ to its Mancunian roots.
Michelle used her millions of fans to promote her products and gain traction for other brand endorsements and collaborations.
This year alone, Rituals has made six figures from social media posts by partnering with well-known brands such as Vinted, Marks & Spencer and Estée Lauder.
His firm, Rosia Promotions, has a healthy balance sheet with more than £5 million in the bank, unaudited figures submitted to Companies House and seen by the Daily Mail show.
Meanwhile, Mark presents his weekend radio show with his best friend, singer Olly Murs, on Heart Radio and is an ambassador for M&S, outdoor machinery company Husqvarna and golf firm Foresight Sports.
When separating her business ventures, many were surprised that Michelle was so willing to hang her flag on Mark; Mark was long known solely as a reality television personality, given that she herself is one of the most sought-after TV actresses in Britain.
The two met by chance on separate trips to a resort in Dubai in 2012.
Michelle, who rose to fame thanks to her role in Corrie, in which she played Tina McIntyre, moved in with Mark almost immediately, even though those close to him were never fully convinced the relationship would last.
She shocked her Corrie bosses in 2014 by announcing she was giving up playing football and moving from Manchester to be with Mark in Essex. In response, they killed off his character and shut the door tightly when he returned to the pavements of Weatherfield.
But he had the last laugh; A few years later she landed high-profile roles in military drama Our Girl, Sky’s Brassic and played Bobby Moore’s wife in an ITV series about the footballer.
Mark was previously known as a ‘friend’ of Celebrity Big Brother star Jack Tweed and was regularly in C-list celebrity circles before getting his big break by joining The Only Way Is Essex in 2010. He appeared in three TV series.
In 2017, Mark set his sights on Hollywood, moving to entertainment show Extra presented by Warner Bros, where he rubbed shoulders with A-listers while Michelle decided to stay in the UK as her career continued to flourish on the other side of the pond. He resigned two years later to be closer to his wife.

Michelle will also star opposite Douglas Booth in ITV’s big new crime drama The Blame
Sources close to the couple have told me that they could have had their own reality show alongside the likes of Rooney and Fury, but have rejected offers so far.
“They could have made big money with a family TV show or a couple’s concert, but that didn’t happen either,” someone told me.
‘Michelle’s desire to focus on her own career and projects without Mark seems to be increasing, and she is having to step back and respect that.’
Indeed, Michelle’s career has skyrocketed over the last few years, making her one of the most successful actresses on television today.
He constantly receives offers to star in TV series from the biggest channels such as BBC and ITV; Including streaming giant Netflix, who, I’m told, holds him in high esteem.
Michelle made her Netflix debut in 2024, starring in the adaptation of Harlan Coben’s novel Fool Me Once, and the same year she starred alongside Faye Marsay and Warren Brown in Ten Pound Poms, which tells the story of post-war Britons traveling to Australia in search of a better life.
Michelle will also star opposite Douglas Booth in ITV’s big new crime drama The Blame.
While I’m sure Mark and Michelle are still completely in love and there are no marital problems, Michelle also enjoyed two girls’ trips without him last month; a trip to Majorca and just last week a weekend in London.
Meanwhile, her devoted husband, Mark, is struggling to land roles on television. Unlike his wife, he is not seen as a ‘hot commodity’ by managers.
Mark’s only remaining television project, BBC daytime soap Clean It, Fix It, has been renewed for another series and has survived the company’s cuts – for now.
He joined the show in 2024, which attracted great attention from the press office at the time and was seen as a way to raise the profile of the series.
‘It’s difficult for Mark because he hasn’t been able to do major TV work for years following his departure from ITV and his expulsion from Soccer Aid.
‘He would love nothing more than to be back on TV for the first time.
‘She starred in Celebrity Bake Off for Channel 4 this year but wants something more permanent.’
Mark angered ITV executives after pulling out of sports reality show The Games at the eleventh hour in 2022, reportedly via text message.
Before his daytime pivot, his short-lived adventure series with his family aired on the BBC in 2023. The series saw his father ‘Big Mark’ and brother Josh star in A Wright Family Holiday as cameras followed them on a road trip across Britain.
He caused controversy at the time and did not return, with critics accusing the BBC of “wasting” license payers’ money to fund their “holidays”.
Comparisons to Posh and Becks seem even more exaggerated as the duo sort out their business relationship.
