Why do some Chinese-Australian voters support Pauline Hanson?

In response to Pauline Hanson’s answer National Press Club speechfirst-generation immigrant Ben Wang published a open letter published the following challenge to the One Nation leader in his local newspaper: “Senator, I formally challenge you to an open, public debate. Let’s face the Australian people and talk the truth. Are you ready?”

Wang felt personally offended by Hanson’s remarks, which targeted Mandarin as a “growing language problem” in Australia, demanded a “monocultural” country, and labeled China a “really big concern”.
