Woman, 30, arrested in murder probe after woman in her 50s is found dead

A 30-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman in her 50s was found dead at a property.
Police were called to Ambrose Croft in Netherton at around 10am today, where they discovered the body of the alleged victim.
Officers said the death is being treated as ‘unexplained’ as investigations continue to ‘establish the full circumstances of the incident’.
They added that a 30-year-old woman from Netherton was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
Photos taken from the scene show the area was cordoned off, with emergency vehicles lined up along the road.

The forensic team was also seen coming and going from a nearby property.
Detective Inspector Sara Lang said: ‘Our thoughts at this time are with the family of the woman who has sadly passed away.
‘As this matter is at such an early stage we would ask people to refrain from speculating and allow us to conduct our investigations.
‘Whilst we have arrested one person in connection with the investigation, we are still appealing for anyone with information to come forward.’
