Iran blitzes Kuwait, Bahrain and UAE in major Gulf attack as Trump says US will leave war ‘very soon’ – live updates

Iran launches Gulf offensive as Trump signals war will end ‘very soon’

Good morning and welcome to the Daily Mail’s live coverage of the 33rd day of the Iran war, which Donald Trump has signaled could end “very soon” ahead of tonight’s big announcement.

As conflicts continue in the Middle East, Iran has launched more attacks on its Gulf neighbors and Israel.

Kuwait’s civil aviation authority said the country’s international airport came under an Iranian drone attack, causing a “massive fire” in fuel tanks.

Bahrain’s Ministry of Internal Affairs said that a fire broke out in a business facility as a result of “Iranian aggression”.

The British maritime safety agency said several Saudi Arabian defense ministry drones were ‘intercepted and destroyed’, while a tanker was also hit off the coast of Qatar.

This all comes as Donald Trump said he plans to leave Iran ‘very soon’ and that the original military operation was expected to last no longer than six weeks.
