World Cup 2026: How much would it cost to go as an England or Scotland fan?

Our two British fans are flying out of Heathrow on Monday 15 June and their return flight to JFK in New York costs just over £500 each – which is good value.

With the Three Lions’ final group match being played in New Jersey, it is the most cost-effective way to travel to and from the US, with Dallas being the first stop.

After landing in the United States, they take a flight to Dallas the same night – this costs £283 per person.

Four nights at the Hampton Inn & Suites Dallas Market Center costs £624 for a twin (£156 per night).

Double rooms, more available in all cities, are cheaper at the Hilton Dallas Medical District, priced at £560 (£140 per night).

Breakfast is included at both properties; This means Dallas, which also has free shuttle buses from the stations to the stadium in Arlington, is a convenient start to the trip.

England fans will fly to Boston on Friday, June 19 for £378 per person.

Boston is at the other end of the scale as one of the most expensive host cities in terms of accommodation.

Our couple is staying at the Hampton Inn & Suites Boston Crosstown Center for five nights, costing £1,650 including breakfast (£330 per night).

The cheapest twin bed option in the city is £2,041 excluding breakfast (£408 per night) at the Courtyard Boston Downtown/North Station.

It’s possible to book a hotel near the airport for £500 less, but since you’ll be spending five days in the city it may not be worth the savings.

There is no need to get on a plane as England’s third match is in New Jersey. Fans can catch the Amtrak train to New York on Wednesday, June 24, with tickets priced at £42 per person.

Unlike Boston, there are still plenty of hotel options in New York that offer five-night stays before a flight home on June 29.

A double stay at the Truss Hotel Times Square costs £1,184 (£237 per night), while a double stay at the AMTD Idea Tribeca Hotel costs £1,275 (£255 per night).

However, this time you will have to go out for breakfast.

However, there is a problematic side to the last two matches; Train tickets to the stadiums cost 59 pounds per person from Boston and 114 pounds from New York.

The estimated cost for just getting to America and moving around is £6,273 for two friends and £5,855 for a couple.

What about family? It will cost £9,008 to get to America, get around and keep your head down.

Some hotels help with costs by offering free accommodation for children.

In Dallas, Comfort Inn Dallas Medical-Market Center costs £627 (£156 per night).

The same Hampton Inn is available in Boston at a higher cost of £1,763 (£353 per night).

The Holiday Inn in Times Square in New York costs £1,589 (£318 per night).
