Minister In an exclusive interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity on Wednesday night, Donald Trump announced that a “landmark peace agreement” had been reached between Israel and Hamas, hailing it as “a historic step toward peace in the Middle East.”
In the interview, Trump said “the whole world came together” to make the deal happen and credited both “luck” and “talent.”
“More countries than you would ever think of came together,” he said on “Hannity.” “It was too big for Israel, too big for Muslims, too big for Arab countries, and too big for the United States. This is more than Gaza; this is peace in the Middle East.”
Leaders around the world are welcoming the news and describing it as a potential turning point.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, “With the approval of the first phase of the plan, all our hostages will be returned home. This is a diplomatic success and a national and moral victory for the State of Israel.” he said. “I made it clear from the beginning: we will not rest until all our hostages are returned and all our objectives are achieved.”
He said Israel had “reached this critical milestone” and thanked his “great friend and ally, President Trump.”

This agreement offers our region the chance to heal, recover and open a new horizon of hope.” “This is a time to honor the heroes among us, our sons and daughters who bravely fought to bring the hostages home, the grieving families, the wounded physically and spiritually, and all those who paid an unbearable price for this historic and vital moment.”

TRUMP ANNOUNCED 20-POINT PLAN FOR PEACE AND SECURITY IN GAZA, INCLUDING THE GRANTING OF ‘AMNESTY’ TO SOME HAMAS MEMBERS
According to Reuters, United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres welcomed the breakthrough and called for it to be followed up quickly.
Guterres said, “I welcome the announcement of an agreement to secure a ceasefire and the release of hostages in Gaza. The United Nations will fully support implementation and recovery efforts. This important opportunity should not be missed.” he said.
Under the agreement, Hamas is expected to release all 20 surviving hostages by the end of this week, and the Israeli army is expected to begin withdrawing its troops from most of Gaza as part of the first phase.

The IDF also released a statement on social media welcoming “the signing of the agreement on the return of the hostages, which was signed overnight.”

“This is a great day for peace,” Trump said. “For years they talked about peace in the Middle East, now it’s happening.”
The Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry says more than 67,000 Palestinians have been killed since the war began; this figure has not been independently verified.
