Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs finds ‘brotherhood’ in prison

Sean “Diddy” Combs found a “strong brotherhood” in prison.

The 56-year-old rap mogul, who spent 50 months behind bars after being convicted of two counts of transportation for prostitution, was recently transferred to the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in Fort Dix, New Jersey, to serve the remainder of his sentence, and has found a “home” at the facility thanks to relationships among inmates.

He told TMZ through his spokesperson: “”There are a lot of misinterpretations about the prison. There is a strong brotherhood. We all look at each other. It’s nothing but a positive thing.

“It’s like a little house in a dark place.”

To celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday, the rapper worked with an internal group called Bankroll Bosses to finance and supply dinner to all inmates.

Combs and others purchased food from the mess hall and spent two days preparing before distributing it to every housing unit at Fort Dix.

Although there were no stoves or microwaves and the inmates who prepared the food had to use their identification cards for slaughter, the inmates enjoyed turkey and dessert with decorations such as mashed potatoes and corn.

A former gang leader who helped organize the initiative, called BI, said: “We cooked the meals and sent them to all the buildings. Each building had enough for about 200 people. It took two days to prepare everything.”

Combs was transferred from the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York City, to FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey on October 30. FCI Fort Dix is a low-security facility and is said to have better conditions than MDC Brooklyn, where Combs has been behind bars since his September 2024 arrest on various sex crime charges.

His legal team had requested that he be moved to the facility in New Jersey because of his access to drug rehabilitation programs.

The Bad Boy Records founder had complained about conditions at MDC, and his friend Charlucci Finney had previously claimed Combs suffered a horrific incident in prison when he woke up with “a knife to his throat.”

“He woke up with a knife to his throat. I don’t know if he fought it or if the guards came, I just know it happened,” Charlucci told the Daily Mail online.

“If this man had wanted to hurt him, Sean would have been hurt too. It would have only taken a second to slit his throat with a gun and kill him.

“It was probably a way of saying, ‘You won’t be so lucky next time.'” Everything is intimidation. But with Sean, that won’t work. Sean is from Harlem.”
