Manchester ‘petrol bomb’: Home ‘targeted’ in terrifying incident | UK | News

Local council member Tamur Tarık made a statement about the incident today. He said the family living on the property had been “deliberately targeted with tear gas and were left ‘shaken’ by the attack.”
Councilor Tariq said in a statement on social media: “I am very sorry to share that in the early hours of this morning, a house on South Terrace, just off Kendal Drive, was deliberately targeted with a tear gas bomb.
“This was a horrific and extremely dangerous act. Fortunately, I can confirm that everyone living on the property, such as the neighboring family, is safe. However, the impact has been devastating. The damage to the house is extensive and the family have lost everything, personal belongings, clothing, electrical items and irreplaceable memories.
“I spoke directly to the affected family and their immediate neighbors this morning. They are understandably shaken by what they have experienced but they have support.
“Citizens will have noticed a significant police presence in the area. This situation will continue for a few more days. A thorough investigation is ongoing and this incident is being treated with the utmost seriousness. Let me be clear, this was an action that could easily have resulted in loss of life. Those responsible must and must face the full force of the law.”
“I would appeal to local residents, particularly Central Avenue, Kendal Drive, Radcliffe Road, Derwent Drive, Keswick Drive and surrounding streets, to check any CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage from around 1.55am. “Even the smallest detail can be crucial in helping police identify those responsible.
“My thoughts are certainly with the family affected. Acts of violence such as this have no place in our society and I will continue to work closely with the police, the council and partners to support residents and ensure those responsible are brought to justice.”
“If you have any information please contact Greater Manchester Police directly.”
