Man dead, another injured after shooting at Lidcombe, Sydney

One person died and another was injured in a shooting attack in Sydney’s west.

The 38-year-old man was found with multiple gunshot wounds at a unit in Shale Street, Lidcombe, just after 4am on Monday morning following reports of shots fired.

The person, who was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital, died a short time later.

“A second man at the scene suffered non-life-threatening injuries during the attack,” police said in a statement.

He was also hospitalized.

The crime scene has been identified and investigations are ongoing.
