Love Island star George Knight has revealed he is leaving the villa for family reasons as he breaks his silence on leaving the reality show.
Just days after ITV’s bombshell trip to Mallorca It was announced on Thursday that the professional football player would be leaving the series due to ‘personal reasons’.
And now George is back on his Instagram account, sharing a photo of what appears to be his sister Emma Knight and their dog, writing: ‘Family always comes first.
‘Leaving @loveisland Villa was a decision I made to be with my family. Out of respect for them, I would prefer not to go into further detail.
‘Thank you to everyone who reached out with kind messages and support! It really means a lot.”
Emma also responded to the comments, writing: ‘I love George,’ and George added a series of loving heart emojis.

In a statement on Thursday, ITV said: ‘George has left the Love Island Villa due to personal reasons. ‘We have a duty of care to George and will therefore be making no further comment.’
The star still appeared in Thursday and Friday night’s episodes.
The professional football player from Winchester came to the villa with the bombshell Yasmin Hadlow on Tuesday.
And on Friday, two stunning new bombshells Namibia and Victoria entered the villa ready to shake things up at the end of Friday night’s episode.
Namibia, 25, from Leeds, and Victoria, 25, also from Manchester, landed on the island after an explosive hookup.
‘Finding love. I don’t have time for drama. But if someone comes to me, I hold back. “I won’t start, but I will finish,” Namibia said.
The reunion caused chaos during the episode, as Mica chose to reunite with Robyn’s love George, who left the villa for ‘personal reasons’ on Thursday.
After deciding who to mate with, Robyn was disappointed to find that her potential contacts had matched with someone else.
In a statement on Thursday, ITV said: ‘George has left the Love Island Villa due to personal reasons. ‘We have a duty of care to George and will therefore be making no further comment.’

Despite the decision, George and Robyn went out to the terrace and kissed moments after the reunion.

Priya and Kavan, who is the sister of current contestant Aidan, joined the competition following Ellie and Samraj’s brutal dump on Thursday night.
However, in an unexpected turn of events, they were not actually expelled from the Island and instead began to date them with new bombs.
This meant that Priya and Kavan were given the chance to choose who they wanted to make up with first.
Standing in front of his fellow islanders, Kavan was the first to be chosen and revealed the motivations behind his chosen partner.
After investigating the links to both Ellie and Jasmine, he admitted: ‘It was a very difficult decision… but Ellie was the girl I wanted to mate with.’
Next up, Priya explained her choice as she confessed: ‘There’s definitely something there that I want to explore…
‘It made me feel very comfortable and there is something there that I want to explore. So the child I want to mate with is Samraj.’
Kavan was keen to explore his options by getting to know the girls throughout the episode.
He first pulled Ellie over for a chat, creating clear flirty tension, and they shared a kiss.
Kavan then pulled Jasmine over for a chat. He told her: ‘You shocked me.’ He added that when he arrived he thought: ‘This guy is so cute!’
Kavan agrees: ‘I feel like there’s something between us’ and asks what she’ll do if he chooses her at the reunion.
‘Yes, I’d be happy with that…’ he agreed.
