Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has denied having a disagreement with President Donald Trump as Washington takes a hard line on Iran as it pursues a broader nuclear deal with Tehran.
Netanyahu said Israel and the United States share the same goal on Iran, although Trump continues the talks, which have been criticized by some Israeli officials.
“But I can tell you this, deal or no deal, as long as I’m prime minister, Iran will not have nuclear weapons,” Netanyahu told host Jacqui Heinrich on “Sunday Briefing.”

TRUMP’S HUGE GOP FAITH BLOCK RAISES A RED FLAG ON THE IRAN DEAL: TRUST HIM, NOT HIS TEAM
Asked whether his relationship with Trump had frayed over Iran, Netanyahu said disagreements between the allies were addressed directly.
“I don’t think there is a rift,” Netanyahu said. “I think America has no greater ally than Israel, and Israel has no greater ally than the United States.”
Netanyahu said that while Trump acts in Israel’s interests, he also acts in US interests, but argued that the two leaders generally see eye to eye.

AMERICA AND ISRAEL: AN AGREEMENT, NOT A CONTRACT
Netanyahu said, “President Trump is the leader of the United States. He does what is good for America. I am the leader of Israel, the only Jewish state. I do what is good for Israel.” “Ninety-nine percent of the time, we see eye to eye.”
Heinrich pressed Netanyahu on Trump’s comments to Axios that the Israeli leader “knows who the boss is” and previous comments to the Financial Times saying Netanyahu had “no choice” but to accept the US-Iran deal.

EXPERTS ARE ‘DEEPLY’ CONCERNED ABOUT IRAN’S UNDERGROUND NUCLEAR SITE WORK
Netanyahu said Washington and Jerusalem still have the same strategic goal.
“We want to see Iran give up its nuclear weapons program,” Netanyahu said. “We want to see nuclear enriched material removed. We want to see nuclear material enrichment sites dismantled.”
When asked if he was satisfied with the negotiations extending until August, Netanyahu said that he would evaluate the outcome only when the negotiations are concluded.

“I would say it’s not over. I’ll judge it when it’s over,” Netanyahu said.
Netanyahu also responded to Vice President J.D. Vance, who warned Israeli officials not to attack Trump over the Iran deal, saying that the United States is Israel’s “only strong ally” remaining.
“First of all, I respect JD Vance. We have a very good relationship, but that does not mean that I agree with everything he says,” Netanyahu said.

“Donald Trump is a great friend we have in the White House, and I’m fully behind that,” Netanyahu said.
