Man bashed with golf club in road rage attack near Sydenham, Victoria

A man was beaten with a golf club in a shocking roadside attack in Victoria.
Police said the 61-year-old man’s vehicle was hit several times by another car while driving along the Melton Highway near Sydenham around 12am on Saturday.
After the man pulled over, the driver of the other car got out of his vehicle and approached with a golf club in his hand.
Police said the other driver hit the victim in the leg and broke his windshield before driving off.
While the 61-year-old man was taken to the hospital due to severe bruising, his vehicle, which became unusable, was removed from the scene.
Footage of a man sitting inside a gold Nissan Patrol was released by police, who said he could assist with investigations.
He is described as being 180 cm tall and of heavy build, from a Pacific Islander. Police said she was wearing a red long-sleeved top, dark shorts and a thong.
