A hundred firefighters and 15 fire engines battle blaze at BBC’s former headquarters Television Centre
Approximately 100 firefighters and 15 firefighters are fighting a fire in the old center of the BBC in the television center in Western London.
London Fire Brigade (LFB) said that the firefighters joined the nine -storey building in Wood Lane in White City after being called to the scene shortly after 3 am on Friday.
A person was treated by medical officers at the scene, but did not need hospital treatment.
The fire affects the floors that buy a restaurant and external floor covering and channels, containing television studios and potentially influenced apartments.
The LFB and the metropolis police evacuated nearby buildings as a precautionary measure for those who had to leave their homes.
According to the images obtained from the scene shared by LFB, the fire seems to affect the Helios building in the television center, the former house of the BBC.
The publisher first went out of the location until 2012 and says that the website of the Helios building has a gym and a 47 -bedroom hotel and 162 houses.
Wood Lane is closed to traffic and it is recommended that people avoid the area. LFB says he expects to stay on the site ‘during the day’.
The photos from the stage show big smoke feathers that are still rising from the building on Friday morning.

Brigade, the first reports of the fire were taken at 3.08 and Hammersmith, North Kensington, Kensington, Chiswick and the surrounding fire stations were mobilized to the crew.
Two 32 -meter turntable ladder is deployed as water towers to help extinguish the fire from the height.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
36 -year -old Li Mei, who lives in a luxury apartment block opposite the road, said, ‘I got up this morning and my partner told me to look out the window.
“ There was too much smoke – we were worried that it would get worse. Thank God, no one seems to be dead. ‘
London Mayor Sadiq Khan said: ‘Thanks to the hardworking firefighters who continue to deal with a big fire in the white city. The residents of the housing were safely evacuated, a resting center in place.
‘Wood Lane remains closed and the crew is expected throughout the day.’
The Independence Army distributes sandwiches to emergency workers.
LFB and metropolitan police evacuated the nearby buildings as a precautionary measure for those who have to leave their homes.
London ambulance service spokesman said: ‘Today at 3.13 at the Wood Lane in White City, we were invited to a fire report.
We sent a source to the scene, including an ambulance team, an event intervention officer and dangerous field intervention team.
We treated a patient and discharged at the scene.
‘The event continues and we are staying at the scene as a precaution by working closely with our emergency service partners.’
On Friday at around 11.00 LFB, the crew ‘fire in the fire stable progress’ announced.
A London Fire Brigade Spokesman said: ‘Brigade was called at 03:20 and control officers Hammersmith, North Kensington, Kensington, Chiswick and the surrounding firefighters brought the crew.

The television center was home to the TV output of the BBC, where the operations moved to the broadcasting house from 1960 to 2013.
The center was later re -reopened as a mixed -use complex with three studios for renewed and housing apartments, retail, offices and television production in 2017.
