Argentina and Tottenham defender Cristian Romero completely ignored US President Donald Trump after receiving his World Cup runners-up medal.
Trump joined FIFA chief Gianni Infantino on stage to present various awards to players and match officials after Spain beat Argentina 1-0 in extra time in the World Cup final.
The pair handed out the silver medal to runners-up Argentina, before presenting the World Cup trophy to Spain captain Rodri.
Romero snubbed Trump by not shaking his hand after Infantino placed his medal around his neck, instead walking directly past him and joining his teammates.
The cold attitude of the fans was noticed by the images circulating on social media.

Trump later ignored Infantino’s call to leave the stage at MetLife Stadium as Spain hoisted the World Cup trophy.
The US President presented this prestigious title to Spanish captain Rodri, who was delighted to raise it in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
As he did when he presented the Club World Cup title last summer, Trump stood awkwardly next to the Spain team as they held up the trophy and celebrated wildly.
Apparently, as Spain were about to lift the cup, Infantino tried to pull Trump away from the players, but the President remained.
He stood next to the team, clapping and grinning as confetti cannons exploded at MetLife Stadium, while Infantino laughed at Trump’s awkward cameo.
An estimated 1.5-1.8 billion viewers tuned in to watch the showpiece finale of the summer tournament, where Trump and Infantino were once again in the spotlight.
Loud boos erupted from the stands when Infantino and Trump took the field, the fans no doubt making their feelings about the duo clear.
The presentation came after Ferran Torres scored the decisive goal in the 106th minute.
It was Spain who dominated the final and the team that looked like the most likely winner, as Argentina committed 24 fouls and Enzo Fernandez was sent off at the end of normal time.
