Rudy Giuliani hospitalised in critical condition as Trump hails ‘True Warrior’ | US | News

It was reported that former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani was hospitalized in “critical but stable condition.”

Giuliani’s spokesperson took to X to share the news and called for prayers for “America’s Mayor.”

“Mayor Rudy Giuliani is currently in the hospital, in critical but stable condition,” Ted Goodman wrote on

The cause of Giuliani’s condition and the exact reason for his hospitalization remain unclear at this stage.

Giuliani hosted his online show “America’s Mayor Live” in Palm Beach, Florida, on Friday evening.

He coughed as he opened the show, and his voice sounded noticeably hoarser than usual. He stated: “My voice is a little bad, so I won’t be able to speak as loudly as usual, but I will get closer to the microphone.”

In recent years, Giuliani has developed a close bond with President Trump, at one point serving as his personal legal advisor during his first term in office.

Trump shared the news of Giuliani’s hospitalization on Truth Social, praising the former mayor for being “the best” in the history of the Big Apple, while also reviving baseless claims of election fraud. “Our amazing Rudy Giuliani, a True Warrior and the Best Mayor EVER in New York City History, has been hospitalized and is in critical condition.

“What a tragedy that he was treated so poorly by the Radical Left Crazies and Democrats – AND HE WAS RIGHT ABOUT EVERYTHING! They rigged the elections, made up hundreds of stories, did everything possible to destroy our Nation, and now look at Rudy. So sad! President DONALD J. TRUMP,” Trump wrote at 7:17 p.m.

In 2020, Giuliani was tasked by Trump with managing legal challenges over alleged voting irregularities in the presidential election.

The former New York City mayor and former U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York was removed from office in 2024 after years of legal trouble stemming from false claims he made after the 2020 election.

The Manhattan appeals court issued the decision after finding that Giuliani persistently made misleading statements about the former President. Donald Trump2020 election defeat.

Giuliani previously saw his law license suspended in 2021 for making allegations.
