Britney Spears voluntarily entered treatment about a month after she was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence near her Southern California home.

A representative for Spears confirmed to Fox News Digital that the “Toxic” singer has voluntarily entered a treatment facility.

The circumstances surrounding his care were not immediately available.

Spears, 44, was arrested on Wednesday, March 4, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. He was released around 6:07 a.m. the next day, according to records reviewed by Fox News Digital.

The “Womanizer” singer was allegedly driving erratically at a high rate of speed while heading south on US 101. The California Highway Patrol was able to pull him over safely before conducting a series of field sobriety tests.

Dispatch audio obtained by Fox News Digital showed that the California Highway Patrol pursued Spears for a time on the freeway and other roads in the greater Los Angeles area and then pulled her over.

According to authorities, Spears showed signs of impairment and chemical test results are still pending.

“This was an unfortunate incident that is completely inexcusable,” a Spears representative told Fox News Digital after her arrest. Records show Spears is expected to appear in court on May 4.

“Britney will take the right steps and comply with the law, and hopefully this could be the first step in the long overdue change that needs to happen in Britney’s life. We hope she can get the help and support she needs during this difficult time. Her sons will spend time with her. Her loved ones will come up with a much needed long overdue plan for her well-being to set her up for success.”

The court order expired on November 12, 2021, but the ongoing dispute over Jamie’s demand that Spears pay attorney fees is set to end in 2024. Details about the case have not been made public.
