Bus seized, 15 challaned during Transport Minister’s surprise check in Guntur

A bus was seized and 15 people were fined after Transport Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy carried out a surprise inspection at the Khaja toll booth in Guntur district on Wednesday evening, April 9, 2026.

Mr. Ramprasad Reddy, accompanied by Transport Department officials, inspected more than 20 buses and directed to take strict action against vehicles that do not comply with valid documents and safety rules. A bus was seized on the spot for not complying with mandatory norms and several operators were fined for violations.
