Woman missing after fire rages through home in Forrest Street in Mandurah

A woman was left unaccounted for after a fire broke out in a house in Perth’s south.

Fire crews were called to the home on Forrest Street in Mandurah just after 2am on Thursday.

Flames engulfed the house, its exterior was blackened and its roof was severely damaged.

One person who was in the house at the time was not injured, but there was no news of the second person, a woman.

Police are investigating whether the woman was at home at the time of the fire.

Police restricted access to the home with tape while arson squad detectives tried to determine the cause of the fire.
